Commonwealth Bank Statement Converter

Statements can be requested through the Commonwealth Bank app or via the Net Banking website.

You can convert your Commonwealth Bank PDF statements to excel on this page. These are some of the more frequently processed layouts for Commonwealth Bank.

Commonly processed types of accounts include:

  • Platinum Awards Credit Card
  • Smart Access
  • Complete Access
  • Home Loan Extra Transactions
  • Business Transaction Account
  • Direct Investment Account

Commonwealth Bank statements have different layouts and transaction data for different types of accounts. For example the Smart Access accounts contain Date, Transaction, Debit, Credit, Balance columns where as the Platinum Awards Credit Card contains Date, Transaction Details, Card used and Amount(A$).

How negative balances are shown varies between types of accounts, sometimes its a negative sign after the number, sometimes it's shown with a CR / DR. During formatting this is standardized so that it can be directly imported into Excel and used as numbers without any additional processing.

Vertical text in the page margins sometimes occur next to tables of transactions, this is filtered in the pre processing phase.

Table headers are displayed on each page of the bank statement that contains transactions, this helps with filtering other data such as notices and advertisements.

Commonwealth Bank statements do not include the year in the date column of the transactions table, this needs to be manually added to be able to import the bank statement's transactions in accounting software like Xero, MYOB and Quickbooks.
